Mobile 'phone memory / txt message transfer
3 Answers
I have a nokia phone, not sure which model, but nothing fancy. I have over 140 text messages in various folders on it. The memory is now full, so that I can only accommodate about 4 mess in my in box & then have to delete them.
I dont want to lose the messages that I have saved over the years. Is there any way I can transfer them off the sim card / phone memory onto a computer cd or something.
Any thoughts / suggestions? Thanks.

Some phones do let you back up texts to a computer, Nokias do not. (As far as I am aware)
Its not as if your going to sit down on a Sunday afternoon and read every single text message, and someday, your phone is going to need replacing etc.
Just delete them and start again. Unless really really important, I delete all my messages once a month. :-)

What Nokia is it? Mine, a 6230, can do this. And I'd be pretty sure that any series60 phone can do this too.
Find your phone here and let us know which model it is:

If your phone is compatible with the Nokia software, then you can use a datacable, infra-red or bluetooth connection (if your phone supports it, and you may need to get a peripheral for your computer), to transfer the messages across.
