Short battery life on 6230!!

Bought a second hand Nokia 6230 from E-Bay,works fine,noticed battery was running down pretty quick,so got a new one about 2 weeks ago now that one is doing the same.When the phone is dead,I put it on charge & it takes about 30 mins to fully charge,but 2 days later its dead again(with no excessive use)??
Have always had Nokias & have not had this problem before.Any ideas what could be wrong??

what do you call "no excessive use"? are you just leaving it on standby, or are you using it for calls occasionally? how many texts are you sending a day? is the bluetooth on?

also, I have the 6230 and it takes more than 30minutes to fully charge from dead. more like 1.5hours.

I turn it on at 8pm in the morning,then during the day maybe make a couple of calls & send maybe 4-6 texts,then it is turned off overnight.Bluetooth is turned off.
My old Nokia,took 3-4 hours to charge from dead,so I find this 30 min charge a bit odd.Any ideas fo3nix???

my 6230i last 4-5 days on one charge (about 2hrs) switched on all day and night , half a dozen calls and 3 or 4 texts per day. I think you have a problem but can't help with treatment, just agrreing with diagnosis

Sounds like a suspect charger.
Is it the correct genuine Nokia charger ?
I don't trust other makes.

I'd agree with the above. Something's not right. Is the battery a geniune Nokia battery, and is the charger geniune too, as BillyNoMates asks (though really these should make no conceivable difference as long as they're the same ratings).

Thanx,fo3nix,I think I bought a cheap battery only a 650.Have ordred a genuine nokia battery,an 850 one.Hope that then solves the problem!!
