get rid of 1p on your mobile phone? to get my free texts when i want my top up has to be 0p but there is only 1p left, but how do i get rid of that? i cant phone anyone because it just diverts to the top up service. anyone got any helpful suggestions??

Who told you that you balance has to be 0p..?
Whoever it was is probably lying.. I havn't heard of any network that stipulates that in their T&C's.

What network are you with..? If its the free text's with O2 then it doesn't matter what your balance is..

yeah its 02, im sure its 300 free texts a month (on pay as you go) if you top up �10 a month, ive used the free texts and the �10 and am wanting to top up my phone tonight, and im sure it said somewhere that you get your free texts if you top up once a month, or it resets if it goes to 0p so therefore if your credit goes to 0 it resets the monthly top up thing, so that would class as the top up for that month.
hope this makes sense. its a special sim card thing which is pay as you go but 300 free texts providing you top up �10 each month.

The old 'Genie' cards; you don't need your balance to be zero at all. You get free texts once a month as long as you've topped up your �10, and they stop if your balance reaches zero. That's where zero balance is mentioned.
