Non-Windows Web Browsers
1 Answers
Can anyone recommend a good web browser to work under either Linux or PC-DOS 5? I'm looking to ditch Windows as it (1) is full of bugs, (2) is moving in a direction I'm deeply uncomfortable with, and (3) though customizable, still remains fundamentally ugly to look at. So obviously Linux looks like a good alternative, but as I'm a beginner, something that runs under DOS 5.0 would be useful as a stopgap.

It's a major release aimed at making the whole thing easier to use and prettier... and I have to say they've done a good job! It has a default install option to whack on a windows equivalent complete with Office, and does so in less that an hour. www.redhat.com is where you'll need to go, and if you have trouble with the idea of downloading 5x650Mb ISO images ask very very nicely and I'll post you some.
