how can i browse my ubuntu box from my XP machine

I am trying to browse the media stored on my ubuntu box, just mp3's, videos etc etc but cant seem to see it in any windows networkin app. can browse the xp machine from my ubuntu one but not the other way round.

You need some way of XP being able to read the different file systems used with the GNU/Linux OS. The nice guys at Microsoft don't let you do it as standard.

One such thing that'll let you do it is this.
You need to run Samba on the ubuntu box for XP to be able to see it. This allows you to map network drives from XP to Ubuntu.
