Outlook Express quirks

My OE6 has started opening attachments to e-mails as soon as I read them - without me clicking on the paper clip icon! Has anyone any idea how it has started this dangerous practice and how I can stop it happening?

I can't answer your problem, but until someone does, do the following : go to tools, options, security and tick the box that states "do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus". This applies to all attachments, so you won't be able to open ones you know to be safe.
