I have a DVD with about 4gb of mp3's on it.......... Played it many time before but now if I use it I have to manually switch off my computer as nothing else will work. I can't access any other program including access to the net... swich off or re-start also refuses to operate saying another program is in use. I keep getting 'This program is not responding, end now' box but this does nothing either.

At one time I think I caught a glimpse of the program in question I think it said 'DVDLoading is not responding' or something similar..... Don't think it was 'loading', but something along those lines. Unfortunately I hit 'End Now' before really taking it in!

Any ideas anyone??

Many thanks.

probably not the answer you need (or want) but I had a similar problem ,full DVD of mp3s , worked for some time and then suddenly stopped and basically froze the system when I tried to play it - tried the DVD n a couple of other PCs and the same thing happened, so my guess would be a faulty disc.

Cheers alunrw, what you say may be right! I have managed to copy the disc so all is not lost :)
