I am new to the Internet, are there any rules and regulations on sending email that I should follow?

It depends which company you hold your email account with, but most don't have many rules. You can do pretty much whatever you want, but things which could be considered offensive, such as pornography, could have your account terminated. The best thing is to send and receive normal emails without anything that might offend anyone. But check with your company, whether they are AOL, Freeserve or Yahoo.
