Here I am needing your help again, Can anyone tell me why I cannot get subtitles up on a digital channel, my husband sometimes need that facility, is it because the digital source is already being used. Thanks
Most (if not all) of the set-top boxes for Freeview support subtitles for deaf or hard of hearing viewers. Many Freeview boxes have a dedicated Subtitles button on the remote.
Consult your set-top box manual for details of how to enable subtitles.
Did you know that when you have the subtitles switched on through your digital box (cable, freeview or sky) they are permanently displayed, when broadcast, and are recorded when you record the programme?
As said previously, check your manual. Have you Googled the TV manufacturer - sometimes you'll get detailed info from them - otherwise do a general Google and see if there are any forum sites where someone might have solved the problem (I don't think all DVB equipment necessarily shows subtitles?).
