how can I delete a url from the drop down address menu on the top of the browser page

I am trying to delete an erroneous url from the drop down url address menu but dont quite know how to ...can anyone help?

hi bluedolphin, Own risk; if oe6; open browser click on tools/internet options/content tab... you will see AutoComplete button; click on it; in next dialoguewindow uncheck where it says 'use AutoComplete for web addresses. Click ok. Also click General tab and clear history as pjn said. Hope it's F.A.B. :-)
Also bluedolphin, the above will clear all urls in that dropdown, not just the one, and also you won't get anymore happening in there unless or until you recheck that box. :-)
Even if you don't use auto complete the addresses will still appear if you manually use the drop down list won't they?

So why is my drop down completely empty??
