Opening files with Windows Media Player

I am not a techno queen - is there any way I can open / convert Quick Time Movie files to open with WMP ?

You could convert the video to an avi file, using a program like this:

But that will reduce the quality a bit. Other than using quicktime to play it, videoLan will play it fine, as well as any other format you throw at it:
