syncing mp3 player with WMP

when i sync my MP3 player (Archos XS 202) about 200 of my 3000 songs say they can't be transferred. Why is this??

are these songs in another format (WMA, MP4, MPEG)?

no they are MP3 and WMA (but my player can play WMAs if that is what you were thinking)
