I am experiencing poor sound quality on TVs channel 5.
Its a kind of popping sound every now and then. It only happens with channel 5. Last year I did have my aerial "split" so as to have a feed to another room. Is this the problem and if so why does it only affect channel 5?

Channel 5 is the weakest channel and a good one for tuning your TV.
If you mean you get this on freeview (digital) it is probably to be expected as you need all the aerial gain you can get so splitting is not a good idea.
