rude pop ups.
4 Answers
Hi, Ive got windows xp with mcafee security, but whenever im online
I get up to 20 pop ups in 30 minutes. To a certain extent I can ignore them but some are very hardcore and I have 2 children aged 3 and 7, the 7 year old goes on computer to play on cbeebies etc. So Im very worried now about something coming up while she is on here.
The main pop ups are
dvd-explorer
freecc.sex-explorer
musicjustfree
em.gad-network
strikeitup
and lots of casino ones.
Like I said I can ignore most of them but Im starting to get angry cos I havent been on any sex sites or anything. Any help would be fantastic and unbelievably appreiciated. Thank you in advance. Rachel.

Download Windows Defender (it's free!) from www.microsoft.com/defender
Run a full scan and this should get rid of most, if not all, of the problems. Also, download Ad-Aware (free again!) and run it on a weekly basis (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/)
That should keep everything running smoothly!

Take mattfox`s advice, popups could be the least of your worries if your PC is infected with spyware.
