drive f?

i went into my computer and there is a " drive f " that has appeared,
any ideas how to get rid of it?
i have 2 cd/dvd drives and they are still marked d and e as normal
prev wmp 11
  
next Nokia k750i - opening or dismantling for cleaning

Well, it must be something, have you found out what? Then you get rid of the physical drive/device, and the icon will vanish.

have you used a usb device (digital camera/pen drive EG.) this would be allocated a different drive number than the usuals.

Or have you used any prog like "daemon" to mount an image file and give you a virtual drive?
Does My Computer tell you which type of drive it is? CD/DVD etc.?

Have you craeted a logical drive so that you can drag & drop files so as to save them to CD/DVD?

sorted it now,i did get a drive g as well,
but all back to normal now.
