Does anybody know if this machine plays Divx's or if it has a optical out.........

About DiVx, it doesn't look as if it does according to these reviews:-

but you would have to check the manual.

If you haven't bought it and are looking for a good buy, try the LG RH-7500 (if it's still available - we use one regularly). Look for it's replacement, the RH-7900 with a larger Hard Disc.
