please help me!!

everytime i plug in my ipod and try to open itunes it doesnt open, when i pull it out itunes comes up. then when I plug it back in the ipod doesnt show up on itunes! i dont know what to do and the apple website is not very helpful for my problem. oh and another thing, before it used to show up as ipod on my computer now it just shows up as a removable drive j. Help! Please!

Sorry, SKA but I'm only good on Mac stuff :-(

The only thing that I can suggest is ....have you tried making sure the 'Automatically Open iTunes' box is ticked on the iPod Preferences.

I'm sure there are some far more knowledgeable AB'ers out there that might be able to advise!

Restart your computer, if it hasn't been done already. Plug your iPod in, and wait a while. Depending on your computer, it'll probably take a good 8 seconds or so for iTunes to properly open up once it realises the iPod is connected.

If that doesn't work, then remove your iPod, close iTunes, plug iPod back in, and restore your iPod from the iPod Updater.
