sand in a digital camera
3 Answers
I have a Kodak digital camera that has sand in it. When it is turned on, the lens cannot come out because of the sand. So it just turns itself off immediately. Would it be worthwhile to have it serviced by Kodak, or would it cost more than buying a new camera?

Also buy one of those special brushes for cleaning cameras (with very soft bristles)
You can blow with the hair drier while gently brushing with the brush.
That may get rid of most of it.
I woiuld imagine a service may cost a lot of money. You could take it to a camera shop, or somewhere like Jessops, and see what they say.
