best picture quality

there is a white rectangle that i can't click on to get rid of. it tells me about the best picture quality settings. i've changed the settings but it still sits there.

What are we talking about here? What program are you using? What are you trying to do? What OS are you using?
It's probably a message from the monitor itself via the On Screen Display (OSD). Use the buttons on the monitor to get rid of it.

If you're not running the monitor at optimum resolution, you might get this message everytime you start up.
