I'd like to listen to .ram files but don't want to use realplayer, any ideas?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.that old chestnut, cor; I would gladly have RealPlayer if they weren't so spy intrusive; i think the ram files are playlists and the movies are ra files; it's streaming media which downloads to your temp folder; i also have a ra file i want to play and am not bowing down to real player yet.. was near a solution but failed, there are progs that will play ra files But, you have to plugin Real Player's copyrighted 'engine'; i guess you would have to rip it from a warez site - but 'don't go there' unless you want swamping with p0rn site popups and traps and stuff.. the sordid side of the web, where you can get stuff for free, at a price. Suggest you do what i did and learn to live without the ra files. You may be able to play your file in another format, i.e. Windows Media Player. There are also apps that can grab streaming content from your screen but i have not gotten into all this much as i'm busy with other things. There is a way, depends how persistent you are..
