can any one tell me if ihave built in firewall into my pardard bell easynote laptop or do i need to renew norton firewall

XP comes with its own firewall, but its not very good anyway.

Use another firewall, though I wouldn't recommend Norton. Try Zonealarm Free or Kerio Personal Firewall. Both are free and work well.

the first thing I did when I bought a new pc and new Packard Beel Easynote laptop, like you, was to completely uninstall Nortons. It sucks and dwonloded a virus onto my old pc. I used AVG antivirus, xp firewall and am thinking of installing Zone Alaram, after the many good reviews on here. GET RID OF NORTONS!
