is there any better software to transfer music to my w550i other than the very rubbish disc2phone? either that r the fone is just rubbish.

just plug it in the usb on your pc and the phones' directory structure will appear in windows explorer.

you can then copy file to the appropriate folder ( i thing its called audio) just as if it was a drive on your machine.

I've got a W800i, and that didn't work on mine. When I tried to do that it wouldn't play the song...I thought you had to use disc2phone to make it compatible for the phone to play.

hi, I have the w550i and it works fine. I can just drag and drop any mp3 file, diconnect the phone, and it appears and plays on the phone.

Are we both talking about mp3 files when we say music?

I was talking about mp3s. Maybe I'll try again. Disc2phone is so slow!

Oh no I think I've realised the problem...I have the sony walkman on mine, so I don't think the files are compatible if you try and play them using the walkmen option. But if you just select the file by itself it might work.
