Panda Antivirus software

Im buying a new pc and ive been told that Panda antivirus software is one of the best. Does anyone else use Panda if so what is it like. Or can anyone else recommend something better. I prefer to pay for decent antivirus program.

If you prefer a paid for antivirus package, I recommend Eset NOD32. It is a consistent top-scorer in all the tests, and has a very small footprint, and is very unobtrusive in use. It also includes Adware and Spyware blockers (although I also use Spyware blaster).

AVG is a great package and is free. Also has good reviews.

The very best AV programs right now are NOD32 (rojash's suggestion) and Kaspersky. Both will ask for money though.

Good free alternatives (almost as effective, just not quite. Does the job for me though), are AVG Free and Avast.
