Is it possible to use remote desktop with XP Home? I can access my Professional Edition computer from my XP Home computer, but not the other way around. Please don't confuse this with remote assistance, its not the same. Does anyone use remote desktop with thier Home Edition? If so, what am i doing wrong? Thank you.

The short answer is no. The remote system needs to be running the remote desktop service (Terminal Services) and XP Home doesn't have that.

XP Home can act as the client in a Remote Desktop session; only Pro can be the server.

An alternative to Remote Desktop is RealVNC
