Where is the safest bet for downloading AVG?

I typed in "AVG+anti virus" in the search bar and several sites came up with slightly different addresses, how do you know which one to trust?

As I recall last time I downloaded it, isn't there a checksum, or something like that, that you can verify back to a certificating authority - if you want to be sure.
