Hi, I have two pc's the new one has windows xp and the old one has Windows 98, Now that microsoft has stopped updating 98 should I convert the old one to xp?
If I did what would I have to do, Do I really need to up grade? I like 98 better than xp so should I just live with it?

If you are going to upgrade then move to windows 2000. Has most of the improvements XP has over 98, without the childish look.

Note that your 98 computer is probably quite old, and XP needs a more powerful computer than 98 does. Even if it did load, it'd be slower.
In short, No. You don't have to upgrade.

The only advantages you would get by upgrading are things such as the additional security updates, and perhaps better software compatability. As times move on some programs may start becoming incompatible with anything older than 2000/XP.
