I have 2 questions i hope you guys & girls can answer

1.I use Norton 2006 internet security that came with my bt broadband.The firewall i use is through Norton.If i switched on the windows xp firewall also would that be ok or would they clash?.

2.Has anyone used spybot search & destroy?.Someone in the work recommened it & said it was free to download but i am not familar with it.

Norton and windows do clash.

I turned my xp firewall off and let Norton cover it, anybody do this?

norton clashes with everything, not just windows firewall.

I'd recommend you download AVG free and either kerio personal firewall or zonealarm free (all 3 are free, and do a better job than norton anyway).

don't use windows' firewall; it's not very good.

I have to say I wouldn't recommend Kerio firewall. After the last upgrade, I found it impossible to regularly and reliably share files between my two machines, and could only access external storage through the Computer Management/Removable Storage applet. I now use Agnitum Outpost, but I don't think they do a free version.
