Trogan on MSG

I think my daughter may be to blame on this one... but we now have a trogan virus in pc, I think via MSG.

So now kids cant get on MSG. I have Norton security but doesnt seem to be able to rid the virus .

Any help this appreciated.

Do you know what type of trojan, does it give you any name or are there any specific problems it causes ?
It could be adaware for example as opposed to a trojan, if so try scanning the system with adaware (Free download)

Do you know when it started, as possibly you could try a ststem restore to a date beforehand and try it that way also.

Whatever the result don't rely on Norton I ditched when it told me I had 7 viruses but couldn't do anything about them.
I use Avast and have done for over two years it's excellent
