new 5 channels

I have retuned my tv for the new freeview digital channels but I still cannot pick up 35 or 36 all I can get is itv play and quizz call I don't have any problem with the other freeview channels. has anyone else had this problem if so how did you solve it ? would be most gratefull for any ideas thanks

Did you do a 'complete' retune?

Most systems give you the options of 'add new channels' or 'replace existing channels'. There used to be other programmes on channels 35 and 36, so your system assumes that these channels are already allocated. i.e. 'Add' won't work. You must use 'Replace'.

thanks buenchio for your suggestions I have been through every option but my tv dos'nt seem to have the replace option,I tried the manual tuning but still no luck just can't get rid of the two channels already there

My freeview box has a first time install option which i had to use, mines a nokia.

could you get channel 5 in your area originally? it's not a problem with the signal strength?

yes wnjxc21 I can get channel 5, I suspect it must be something to do with the signal and that the new 5 channels signal not being strong enough in this area for me to pick them up. I have tried all options on my integrated digital tv and nothing works apart from me chucking it out of the window in frustration (jumping up and down pulling hair out by the roots valliam at the ready) I don't know what to try next. thanks for your help anyway
