In a nutshell it costs 9.95 (or 9.99) a month and for that the marketing ploy is that every phonecall in the UK, anytime of day or night plus to any of about 28 countries is free. I think you can talk for about 70 mins, then you redial. Included in this 9.95 is free broadband.
No, it wasn't a doddle at first, but that was due to two things. 1st, the CD rom software was faulty and the software had to be installed maually. If I had been prepared to wait, they'd have sent another disc. and 2ndly, because I had made an error when i installed, I failed to do something, that meant I couldn't connect. Not sure why I'm telling you this, because had the disc have worked, they everything would have been ok. Since then, I surf as often and as long as I like. I'm not one of these blokes that is concerned if speed is'nt as it should be. It goes fast enough for my needs.
What you DO have to do, is to agree that Talktalk take over the line rental, so instead of you paying BT every quarter, you pay TT monthly. You in effect terminate every connection with BT. So every month you pay your line rental 11 plus the 9.95 to TT, no difference really.
