i have some viruses that l sent to the "virus vault" on my avg program........ should l empty the vault or leave them in there?????????? l don`t know if l "release" them whether they`ll try and infect the p.c again

Files are moved to the vault in case they are important files which have been infected and might be disinfected at a later date. This is rather like putting files in the recycle bin - just in case you change your mind. Emptying the virus vault does not release the files, it deletes them - just like emptying the recycle bin. So the short answer is, you can get rid of them.
