Anyone had an email?

I was telling a friend about AB and she said she didn't want to join it because she didn't want loads of emails. I was a bit confused so looked in 'about us' at the top of the page and it does indeed say you will get an email when your question has been answered.
So....has anyone ever had one?

Yes all it does is alert you that someone has answered your question. It is harmless and from The Answer Bank themselves.
It has a link that takes you straight to your question.

I always get an email to say You have an answer.

Yes, always had one. It saves you having to check on the site several times to see if you have an answer. As spurslady says...completely harmless.

Yes you get a message everytime someone answers yours question!

unless you click up there..... to the top right..., says 'got an answer' or something like that!!

Get your friend to set up a second Email account.

i get the 'someone has answered your question' emails...but has anyone ever got the newsletter?

Ha - just realised the email account I used when I signed up is one I don't use any more, that would explain why I never get emails.... Doh!

I used to, but don't anymore and would like to know why.
Also would like to know why my answers to someone elses post are not reported. Have asked the powers that be, no reply, so am in the dark or left out !!! Not happy but !!??

Seekeerz - I used to wonder why there was no 'report this answer' on my answers but didn't want to appear stupid. Then someone else asked the question and it does appear but not on your own screen as you're not going to report your own answer.
