itunes problems

hi. since i've downloaded the new itunes (ver 7.0.1) weird stuff has been happening. it won't download any podcasts anymore, saying it can't read them. many of my videos have somehow been deleted off my ipod and smart playlists. when i search artists on my ipod only some of their songs come up but when i browse songs they're all there. what's going on? anyone know what i could do?

Try the old thing of completely uninstalling both iTunes and Quicktime, then restarting and downloading and installing again.
