Some time ago I remember watching a TV programme attempting to prove / disprove 'Muphy's Law' (or whatever else you call it ! ). The AA and RAC said that it attended to more punctures in fine weather than wet and that 'wet weather' punctures were remembered because they were more traumatic. A team of people put a variety of fats on slices of bread then tossed them into the air. The type of fat, butter, marg, lard, sunflower etc. made no difference, the result was an outstanding 50 / 50.
The main conclusion of the programme was that ' Murphy's Law states that Murphy's Law can be neither proved nor disproved'.
Long live Murphy's Law.
