Resetting the sound and usb ports after a new power unit

Hi, and thanks in advance,

I have an emachine model 390, that has recently had a new power unit installed. Since then I have no sound or usb connections, can some kind soul please tell me how to reset them,I have tried using windows help,and emachine support with no luck.

Why was a new PSU fitted? If it was because the old one went phut...sizzle, then it's possible that the accompanied power surge took out your sound chip and USB hardware.
