Hi there,

Is there anybody out there knows how I can view streets where my freinds, family and relative live (some sort of aerial photography programme)?

I would like to be able to view the areas where my family, relatives and friends live in anywhere in the world from my computer. I heard about Google Earth but I have to pay for becoming full member. Is there free website or programme out there for the facility?

http://maps.google.co.uk uses the same maps as Google Earth but you view them in your browser instead.

Unfortunately where I live in Cornwall is all low-res :(

If your area isn't available in high res with Google, try the Microsoft version at http://local.live.com/ I can see my surrounding area in fantastic detail on this site, even being able to look sideways rather than straight down whereas my area is still low res in Google.

Why do you have to pay for Google Earth? I thought it was free.

It is free I have never paid even for the updates It costs if you want the professional version I have just been to google earth home page and it is there the free version !!!!

Yes Google Earth is free, photographs taken some time ago. The one you pay for is the live version I believe.

MS live is only showing UK area. Im actually wanting to to view the roads (or small places) in India and Indonesia.

Multimap is also showing UK and USA. It didnt give me directions when I tried to find route from one place to another place.
