I am trying to help my friend but am now running out of ideas, she has just had to borrow a pc from some1 with windows 98 and installed aol but can only get dial up now which wouldnt be too bad but when she signs onto aol the toolbar and pics are pixelated and sometimes change colours, we have tried to change the settings on aol but it doesnt work so was wondering what else we can do to put it back to normal or if there might be a problem with the pc itself although her brother didnt say there was a problem b4, the desktop is fine so i was wondering why it is happening when she signs on the internet, she used to have broadband which worked fine and i had dial up b4 broadband and i didnt have the same problem. Please try and help
There are programs that boosts the speed of your internet connection. The main way of doing this is to only download pictures as reduced quality ones. Your friend could have installed something like this on the computer.
Thanks for answering but its not pictures she downloads its just the normal toolbar and other normal pics from a website she can't view them without them being pixelated and she doesn't download anything like this, she uses it for basic things, listening to music, email browsing etc...
