I am pobably going to struggle to explain exactly what I want to do, but I will do my best.

I want to print an A4 piece of paper with the words Christmas on it, but I would like the actual letters to be coloured in the Union Jack flag colours. The look I am after would be as if I had a page with with a single union Jack on it,and then cut out the letters and stuck them on a plain piece of paper.Does this make sense? Is this possible to do in Excel wothout having to do the cutting out bit? I will be doing this using several counries flags, so I am looking for an easy way if it possible.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

Here goes I knew these night school classes would be useful

First find a picture of a Union Jack try the internet and save it on your computer
Open a WORD document make sure the DRAWING toolbar is showing (View -Toolbars) Slect WORDART from the slection choose a skeleton form of word art type in when promted Merry Christmas
When text appears on the page gor to the drop down menu at the side of the little bucket Choose FILL EFFECTS then the tab that is PICTURE THEN select picture now find your picture of the Union Jack and HEY PRESTO
Forgot to say set you word document to landscape and to make the phrase fit the page just drag down at one of the corners
pps

if you want to copy it into excel just copy and paste
Did it work OK for you ?
