US Dollar Cheques

My husband has 2 cheques sent to him but they are in US dollars. they are both for around $58. The Banks will not accept US dollar cheques where the value converts to less than �50. Does anyone know where my husband can get these cheques converted to sterling?

I had this problem a couple of years ago, I bank with NatWest, but surprisingly Barclays accepted them into my husbands account. (I presume because they weren't crossed Account Payee Only).
Haven't used them but have heard good reports:

Thanks for the answers. we have tried the link to Auctionchex and completed the transaction. We have not received the funds yet, and the exchange rate is not the best, but bearing in mind that we were stuck with the cheques because the big banks felt the amount was too small to bother, we are grateful for the amount we are getting. Thanks again
