I've been shopping around for TVs as I need a new one and so far I've decided that on the whole plasmas offer the superior picture. But they use more power and are slowly being overtaken by LCD. There are also new TV techologies on the horizon superior to both so I think it's only a matter of time before plasma TVs are no more.

But I still prefer CRTs.
