Sonic Activation Module?

everytime i log on a message pops up saying please wait while windows installer configures sonic activation module. i keep cancelling but it still pops up and its really annoying! then after it loads it says the feature you are trying to use is on a cd rom or other removable disk which is unavalable, please insert the sonic activation module disk and press OK. But im not using any feature which is using that.

can anyone help? i think it might make me insane!!!!

This seems to be a well-known problem, especially on Dell PCs.

Download this program:
http://tools.roxio.com/support/dell/isum_hotfi x.exe

Shut down any Roxio or Sonic software on your PC.

Run the program.

Reboot.

If that doesn't work, uninstall and then reinstall all Roxio or Sonic programs.

well i tracked down all sonic activation stuff from program files then deleted it totally but it still pops up. the link didnt work, it says the page can't be displayed. thanks anyway, do you think that if you used system restore it would get rid of it?.
