Microsoft Security update
3 Answers
This is NOT a question, it is a WARNING. I have just had , for the third time, an e-mail purporting to be a warning from Microsoft and containing a Security Update attachment. The previous two times I was suspicious and just zapped it. This morning I thought I would investigate it more thoroughly. It is as I suspected. It contained a worm. BE VERY CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU OPEN.

No, Phant., it was not that one. The e-mail itself claimed, within the text that opens up naturally, to come from Microsoft Support. I am using Grisoft AVG as a virus checker and Zonealarm as a firewall. It got through these . However I saved the attachment to a spare directory.I went into that directory and got explorer to look at its properties upon which AVG came into play and saved the day.
