Problem with CD recorder and/or CD-R audio discs

I have a Marantz CD Recorder DR6000 which works perfectly when fed TDK CD-R Audio discs having the blue colour recording face. But TDK seem recently to have abandoned these for ones with a silver colour recording face (although the appearance of the label side of the discs, the packaging and the product code is unchanged), and my machine has problems reading them (and also JVC's equivalent discs). I have used a laser lens cleaning disc but it made no difference. I have since used my last remaining 'blue' discs with no difficulties. Perhaps the silver discs are in some way more 'demanding' than the blue ones ones? Or maybe the focusing or height of the laser lens needs adjusting (assuming this is possible)? Any thoughts, please?

As a matter of fact, I've the same problem too!!! and don't know what to do?? Professional CD-R (Made in Japan) or (Made in Europe) function very well with my Marantz recorder but TDK or Verbatim doesn't.
