My daughter (14) has a laptop and her and her mates take hundreds of photos, videos for myspace or whatever?? (i have no clue) now she has just asked me to ask you if anyone knows how to save it all onto floppy disc its not the latest laptop (about 5 years old) and has no re-writer (whatever that is) but she is terrified of losing all her photos etc.. any idea what we need to do??

Several options.

A cheap flash pen drive:

Or an external dvd re-writer:

Both connect by usb. I am not recommending either of these particular makes/models - they are just so you can see the items.

If the laptop has a floppy disc driver, just put a disc in and save to drive A: (usually). This can simply be done by right clicking on the photo, or video, and 'save as'.

Whatever you do though, don't use a floppy disk.

If the laptop has USB2, then it'll be perhaps best to get an external re-writer as ethel says, then just back up periodically to a CDR.
