connect speakers-amp-PC to play i-tunes?

Is it possible to wirelessly connect a newish PC to an amp and speakers so that I can use my PC as a hi fi? I know Macs have a built in thing that can link up via an 'airport' gizmo - is there a PC version? And what kind of amp do you need? Please help!

well, I haven't got a very good hi fi and it's in a different room - no I was thinking of getting separate amp and speakers and connecting to the PC - hopefully wirelessly? Any ideas?
