I have bought a usb hdd. Now I want to direct my MYDOCS folder to there (relocate it to the hdd) so that when I go to save anything the location is my docs on usb hdd. Is this easy to do? and if so how can I do it? Thanks.

So Bluey, how's your new USB HDD? If you right-click "My Documents" on the desktop then select properties you can see the target which is probably C:\windows\my documents (as you are using Windows ME, which, incidentally, is immune to this new nasty virus!). Just change this to E:\my documents or to whever your new HDD is. I think this will copy all the data across as well.

thanks j2buttonsw...I got the usb hdd today and its running great. I got a 120GB Buffalo model but coz my lptp is so old it will only recongnize 111GB. Spent an hour or so deleting apps and moving them onto the usbhdd. Everything is working fine. Thanks again
