erm........

i thought that ddr2 is sdram?, but i may be wrong

i thought it stood for double-data-rate synchronous dynamic random access memory or something like that.


According to wikipedia, kujawski is right, they are the same ( should be correctly referred to as DDR2SDRAM - what a mouthful ), therefore are compatible.
SDRAM is the overall family name, with such children as DDR and DDR2.

Your system may not be compatible with DDR2 though. Check it first, with a system scanner like this:
