Help -lost favourites list

Help needed - I have been updating god knows what this morning and have now got a new 'home page' and at the top I used to have a 'favourites' but this has disappeared
- how can I get back to how it used to be?

Its now Internet Explorer at the top and before it was MSN something or other.

Please can anyone help as I had so many sites on the favourites list.

You're favourites should be accessible by clicking the yellow star at the top left.

Ethel - you are a marvel - before you answered I scrolled through some old questions and found the answer you gave about systems restore and I tried it - eureka!

I came back on to thank you and found your most recent answer.
