I want to search for postcodes inside MS Excel
1 Answers
I am wanting to create a spreadsheet on MS Excel so I can input any postcode and a list of my specially selected restaurants (which already have the addresses inputted)appear in order of the distance it is away.
For instance if I type in NE11, I want the closest restaurants in distance order to appear on this speadsheet and with the distance they are away. I have seen lots of webstes offer this (eg. AA; multimap) but want it i an internal Excel spread sheet
Can anybody advise on how I can do this?
Thanks
Peter

The Post Office have a list of postcodes and their grid references. Using trigonometry you can therefore work out the straight line distance between 2 postcodes. In theory therefore you could code an Excel Macro using Visual basic that would give you this distance
Good luck.
