There is a tv on offer, 40" samsung digital tv, hd ready tv in curry's - �899, can anyone let me know if this is a good offer? or weather the tv is unreliable, good make ect, thank you in advance

My brother got one of these over Christmas.
His XBox 360 looks fab on it but DVDs, as in normal standard definition, looked rather washed out and grainy.
But then I'm very particular when it comes to tellies so I'm probably being a bit over critical.
